Elevate Dental Partners acquires Compass Dental Services and its seven Texas locations
Under the radar: dental consolidation continued with a Texas platform acquisition reported Nov 3, in one of C&Co. core business verticals.
Becker's Dental reported Nov 3, from a Nov 2 Polaris Healthcare Partners release, that Elevate Dental Partners acquired Compass Dental Services. Compass has seven Texas locations and 91 operatories, built over 20 years by Drs. Scott and David Ballard.
Both founders remain in leadership and become Elevate shareholders. Partner dentists continue as Elevate partners. The price was undisclosed.
For dental practice owners and buyers, the structure is the signal: founders built over 20 years, stayed in leadership, and took shareholder positions in the buyer, rather than exiting fully at closing. That rollover and retention structure is common in dental platform deals, and sellers should expect buyers to price it as part of the total consideration and transition plan.
