Specialty healthcare consolidation adds veterinary network and dental deal in one week

Under the radar: specialty healthcare consolidation ran on two tracks on Nov 3, in veterinary specialty care and in dental.

The Animal Outpatient Specialty Network acquired a portfolio of outpatient specialty practices: Arizona Veterinary Dental Specialists, Dentistry and Oral Surgery for Animals, Dermatology for Animals, Eye Care for Animals, and Veterinary Cancer Group. The brief states the combined business is the largest US dedicated outpatient veterinary specialty business, with over 300 specialists and residents.

Separately, Specialized Dental Partners, backed by Quad C, acquired Hooper Endodontics in Brunswick, Georgia, announced Nov 3. It is the platform's 11th acquisition in 2026. Terms were undisclosed.

For clinic owners in dental, veterinary, and specialty care, the pace is the point. A platform on its 11th deal of the year, and a specialty network consolidating five practice groups at once, means qualified practices have multiple platform buyers, and sellers should expect competition on structure and transition terms, not just price.
