Champions Group buys Bardi Heating, Cooling, Plumbing and Electric in Atlanta

Under the radar: a California based home services platform has made its first move into the Southeast, through a 37 year old Atlanta brand.

Champions Group announced Nov 4 its acquisition of Bardi Heating, Cooling, Plumbing and Electric in Atlanta. It is the first Southeast entry for the Orange County platform.

The Bardi brand, built over 37 years, is retained. Terms were undisclosed.

For HVAC and plumbing business owners, the structure is the familiar platform pattern: a long established local brand keeps its name, and the platform gains a new region in one deal. Owners with decades of brand equity in one metro are exactly what regional platforms are buying, and a retained brand signals the buyer is pricing that local reputation, not just the customer list.
